OUR VISION

Media inspired by good nature.

Our goal at RACAT is to own and operate media companies that in one way or another add something to our world.  In the group’s early years, we focussed on natural history film making and our tag line was “media inspired by nature”.  As we grew our focus extended beyond nature and factual, to social issues, history and culture, comedy, drama and games.  Something indelible remained though:  whether you’re watching Hardball, Love on the Spectrum or Luke Warm Sex, or you’re playing Furistas or Flutter on your phone, or reading the Aus Geo magazine, or poetry from Australia’s Beating Heart, you’ll always find a celebration of something good and heart-warming in the way humans behave and the amazing world in which we live.  Our vision is just to keep doing that and try our best to do it better each time.

Runaway is an independent game developer and publisher based in Dunedin New Zealand. We build beautiful games inspired by the natural world, and supportive communities that our players are proud to belong to for years.

It is our dream to grow the leading global brand in nature gaming, producing a portfolio that has a positive impact on our players lives while progressing games as an artform and providing one of the best places in the world to work as a game developer.
